On the war side of things we may have been to some degree, but our freedoms and lifestyles were all American, fun, freedom, God, family, and country. That is how my family continues to live.

The kitten has piqued my curiosity . Chasing the ball of yarn I see the S. Californian coastline on my right . My travels have been many, with N. Calif being a particularly long stay. I have travelled the Coast hwy from SF down to LA more than once , such a beautiful trip (such a long, strange trip it was). Even did it on a motorcycle once , easy rider style. Also many trips just north of the Golden Gate, and mountain bike rides up Mt Tamalpais , when our bikes preceded the factory made ones .
If you have family and still live near the coast (southern, i guess) you are a lucky lady . My fate was to be blown away, like a leaf , landing for a while then cast once more to another place. My tree had no roots ....... and my boots were made for walking. I now have sandals as my chosen footwear , for 30 years. The mountains of Northern Thailand are quite nice this time of year . And somehow, where i feel most free for these many years.
The "land of the free" ..... and the "home of the brave" ...... it really did have great potential . (the US, i refer to )
