The joy is much appreciated! I have a funny story about nasturtiums. My husband does not share my enthusiasm for gardening and often forgets the names of various plants including nasturtium. He thinks that particular plant is beautiful as well as tasty, but the only way he can remember the name is to call it “nasty urchin.” Whatever works, I guess. 😄
Great idea!! We do need to stay on top of the devastating developments upcoming and ongoing, and as you say be able to bask in the comfort and beauty of your secret garden to remind ourselves of one of the many things we need to keep defending our freedoms for.
I had never even seen snow firsthand until i travelled to Yosemite in winter and I'll never forget the giant icicles dripping down to ground level along the edges of the huts there !
Beautiful ! my garden in the Adelaide hills was full of Aquilegias (grannies bonnets) and had them hanging in baskets by the dozens along under an enormous gazebo. Not just a unique flower itself...but I spent a huge chunk of life every morning before sunrise, waiting with my camera to witness a similar magic happen....as the sun rises, sap in every growing thing rises too. These flowers sap oozes out along the very edges of the petals and leaves like dew drops, but perfectly spaced diamond-like drops all the same size ! An exquisite vision to see it happen - and glistening like crystals...I wondered for ages how they were able to stay there suspended on the thinnest edges outlining the whole flower's petals...to discover in the photos I took - the tinniest little hairs, microscopic in size, evenly spaced along all these edges!! and then you would see them all disappear back into the flower again! MAGIC is real. koppykat
thankyou for featuring your beautiful garden it reminds me of the piece of heaven I made in similar setting. And front of the scene (yours) were Aquilegias too! you are doing a wonderful thing by sharing this piece of heaven, thankyou ! KK
You certainly do have a flare for the beautiful. Saw a lot of ugly today and you served up the beauty. Thank you sister!
💞🙏💞… was thinking we needed a break
A pause/moment of beauty is a lovely gift. Thank you!❤️🙏

Kitten's lovely pictures fit well with this song "Morning Has Broken - Cat Stevens - Lyric Video"
💝I love that!!!💝
It all makes a salty drop of happiness come into my eye. Nature is fantastic, and so is your celebration of it.
Ahhh what a relief to find they were actual dew drops, and not the type of DEW I was thinking you might be referring to.
Just a moment of peace in Kittens beautiful garden, as temperatures slowly began to creep above the subzero mark round these parts.
from now on going to separate the peaceful “secret garden” from the disturbing developments “secret archive” … we need awareness but also respite 💝

Your efforts are well appreciated❣️
Sometimes we forget how beautiful nature is! My reprieve from the world is watching the song sparrows flutter hop about gathering the bird food.
birdbaths are really fun to watch them clean up, 💦motor around the pool💦
Prayers To You Heidi !!! 🙏
Wow Kitten you’re extremely fast!
Sending all the best to you too!
