Hmm, I used to camp frequently in the area, not at Mystic, but at another camp nearby. And was a counselor there for 2 summers in High School. The swastikas are definitely from Indian lore, which predated the Nazis' use of them. (The Egyptians also used them long ago!) Even though the camps were Christian, it was not heavily emphasized. The only Christian thing I remember us doing was praying before meals. I loved the whole experience. We got to ride horses, learn archery and target shooting, and native crafts. Anyway, the camps would interact with each other sometimes as we all used the river for canoeing, swimming, and rafting...and I can tell you that if the river crested 45 feet above normal level, it would definitely reach up to the houses and camps along the river that were only about 10 or 15 feet above river level or less, if I recall correctly. I think Miles connects dots that he sees with abandon and jumps to conclusions while ignoring facts. JMHO.
This feels like ancient restoration rituals of washing away & building anew.
They call upon the ancient gods to renew the covenant of remembrance and awaken the "encoded light" within the waters of creation.
Water holds memory., couple that with light & sacrifice ...pretty soon you conveniently have more land for data centers ... which feel like "encoded light" to me with ritual waters to cool the things.
It just feels VERY SUSPECT. Everything about it encoded in dark magiK.
