(I went to school with a Great Friend from deep-warm-coastal MS. I'm from northern NJ.
Well we're down South attending school & he calls me up at like 5am & says, "Hey look outside ! There's a snowstorm outside ! Holy Jesus."
So I look outside & it looks slightly less than the dusting on your fine stone patio. And I say laughingly, "Where you from boy ?!?" So then he says, "I'm gonna drive over & pick you up, so we drive through this storm."
So then we drive around for a while, while like 3 large snowflakes hit the windshield & immediately melt & he's completely astonished & keeps saying to me, "Did you that ! That's snow.")
Thanks for sharing, Kitten! I lived in Brentwood/Santa Monica for 5-6 yrs & my big sister lived in OC back in the 70's (Newport & Laguna when they were true beach communities), and we never saw snow, unless you drove up into Big Bear at the right time, or farther north. True, people not used to snow go crazy - I lived months in DC & a light dusting panicked people there! 😸
Do You Call THAT !
A Snowstorm !!!
HAHAHAHA !

I still love that guy.
What is ‘the OC?’
Since I couldn't figure out how to include a photo, I thought I would memorialize a haiku.
Hai Coop <--- i hope don't count as part of the syllables!
damp feather fluffed warm
back inside mourns in dim light
lays another egg

We got icy stuff here in Michigan too. Our backyard chickens show their disapproval by refusing to go outside and coo at the sun today.
Oh my gracious! bust out the boots and shovels. heehee
May all your beautiful plants , trees and flowers continue to flourish this spring kitten 💜🌻🌞
